If my sale goes through, I will have time to go Art. It would be fun. I think he needs to have a land tour up there!

Looks really cool!

Thanks guys...a land tour would be awesome. Maybe next year?

Some nice small town bars in that area. Good time up there. Good chance a guy could see some elk up by Lancaster as well.

And maybe catch some walleyes on LOW.

I missed it if it was discussed. Where is this near?

I have never been west of Warroad. Never north of Park Rapids.

Big chunk of the state I have never seen.... however, a lot of it probably isnt worth seeing. :)

I would agree with that for the metro area, St. Cloud, and Brainerd on busy weekends.

I don't live up there, but I have a farm near Hallock/Karlstad in the NW corner of the state. My farm is 22 miles from the Canadian border.

4 hour drive to get up there, but I enjoy short 2-3 day hunts up there. Distance helps keep me out of the woods and bedding areas.

Dying towns, crappy casinos, and large lakes that used to be great. That's what you're missing. The north shore is worth doing once. Once.

Kind of funny to think there's better deer hunting within a short drive of the Manitoba border than in the mixed farm/forest area of central MN

I don't know if it's better?? Depends on location.

Cousin sent me this pic from NW MN this year. They can get large.

Very nice

Place was much better 'big bucks wise before it went rifle. The limitations of the shoot gun put age on those deer.

Kittson Drone-small pic.jpg Here is a drone picture of the farm I own in Kittson County (22 miles from Canada). The only part of the farm not in the picture is the oak treed river bottom which is the best part .... Cool to have a neighbor get this to me for free!
