    Cutting clover?

When do you recommend cutting clover? What are the pros and cons of cutting it now (may)? I live in central Virginia. I have fantastic growth and in some places it's six inches tall. I usually only cut it in August.

    Buckwheat and crimson clover?

I usually plant buckwheat for the organic properties during summer. I got a rude surprise with my last soil test. The phosphate was very high. So I'm trying to plant some legumes to assist with the high levels of phosphate.

    Buckwheat and crimson clover?

Can I mix the two as a spring cover crop? Or will the Buckwheat squeeze out the clover?

Is there anything I can do in order to reduce P? Will legumes help reduce it? Or should I even worry about it? For a fall plot I usually plant winter wheat, turnips and beets in those areas. For spring time I plant buckwheat.

    Suggestions for improving this property.

Thanks for your input. It was commercial thinning by the previous owner. The diamter of trees average 10" that's my best guess. I wasn't planning on selling trees. It's managed only for wildlife. I love the idea of a controlled burn. I've contacted my local extension office and there are cost...

    Suggestions for improving this property.

This is a small 40 acre parcel that was thinned of pine about three years ago. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on improving this piece. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would it be possible to create a buck bedding area? I know 40 acres isn't much. The red square is a small...
