Who are you?

Welcome to the HT forums. While I hunt, farm and enjoy our habitat work here in Missouri, we have a little property in northern Minnesota. We used to live in Waseca and Fairibault, and enjoyed that season of our ives. I miss spending mindless hours at the old Herter's store in Waseca.

Good luck removing the buckthorn. It seems like all of us have some invasive we are working on removing. I wish you well in this endeavor.
I'm in the Faribault area now, great place to be! I missed Herter's though.

Hi, I'm Ross. We live on 48 acres in Southern MN. It's a mix of prairie, wetlands and wooded. Working on removing buckthorn in the woods right now.

Good luck to ya! The 6 acres I live on was completely overtaken by mature buckthorn when we bought it. The trees have been grinded to mulch but the seed bank is a real bastard to stay on top of. It's starting to spread on my 40 a little further north but not all lost yet. It's a real bastard!

I purchased 80 acres a year ago in central PA.
35 acres is part of a surface mine that was reclaimed 15 years ago. 45 acres was recently high graded by the previous owner.
I'm looking forward to learning alot from everyone and hopefully I can contribute.

Welcome! Myself and a few other guys are from central PA on here there is a wealth of experience on this site and I feel like I’ve learned so much more than I could ever contribute!

Thanks for the add! I’m from Northern Minnesota where we just finished up our firearms season. First year on a new 40 our son bought after hunting public land nearby for over 40 years. Now that we have the lay of the land we are looking to do some habitat improvements. Lots of questions coming!

Welcome! I currently live and hunt in zone 2. I grew up in the SW corner of zone 1, Cass County and still have some land there. I did hunt further up in zone 1 for a handful of years.
