I do it in the oven roasting pan and make aujus with the drippings a little added beef stock and a Pinot Noir wine. This is actually last years meal my wife takes photos of them and had them on her phone. This year I think she bought Grinch plates for the meal and I beleive she plans on using some green depression glasses to keep with grinch theme. That cranberry desert she makes is excellent perhaps my favorite part of the meal behind the beef loin. You just buy it and don't worry about the price. Can't give up your tradition. I have never bought a whole beef tenderloin, but I suppose that's the next logical step for me.
How do you cook yours?? I'd like to get one for some really special occasion. I look at them every time I go to Costco. Much easier to find prime grade tenderloin than prime grade ribeye where I shop.
