Trees orders?

It’s mud season in NWPA. I couldn't even dream of planting something right now.

We just picked up an inch of rain with the last couple of storms this evening in my part of NWPA. What was just muddy is now a swamp

My daffodils are nearly done my fern leaf peony just opened.

I always try to plant the weekend of my birthday (last weekend in March) and the weekend of bear season (3rd-ish weekend in November. So far I haven’t had any issues but the low here is gonna be 22 tomorrow night so the morning planting on Saturday could be kinda interesting…

Bluehill order arrived yesterday… sort of.
They were delivered to the wrong address about 5 miles away thankfully the gentleman tracked me down and I was able to drop by on my lunch time to pick them up. Ya gotta love small communities. 😁 But dang UPS, be better! 😡
Keeping roots wet until Sunday, will have to scrape snow away to plant but it’s supposed to be mid 40’s by then.

I’m looking for a northern source nursery that has a selection of grafted, bareroot persimmons in stock for this spring. Chestnut Hill has the kind of selection I’m looking for, but trees from Florida could come out of dormancy before getting to me. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

England's Orchard is in KY. They offer a number of grafted persimmons, but it's awfully late for ordering. No idea if they still have anything in stock.

Thanks, I talked with them a few days ago. They do have some in stock, but they no longer ship trees. I really didn’t want to drive that far, but might reconsider if I can’t come up with an alternative.

Thanks. Yes, I already have that one. I was mainly wanting to add a few that I don't already have. For sure I would like a Rosseyanka and maybe a Nikita's Gift. I might even consider a couple more.

Curious how you like the full draw. I planted 2 this year.

Mine was one of the small ones planted in the spring of 2022, and hasn't fruited yet. It has really grown well the last 2 years and might even start fruiting this year.

PS - Last year I planted 5 of the little BH Hoosier seedlings. I watered them during the drought and all survived. I may add some more of these in the future and will likely topwork any that turn out to be males.
