Trees orders?

I was trying to figure out where to put this. Had to run to Lowe's the other day so I swung by to see what trees there were. I don't buy any from them normally but I'll swing by in October and see if they have anything left on clearance. Holy hell! Not sure I'd even be able to afford these trees on clearance.

Columnar apples suck. I have a couple I got cheap, and they grow well, but they produce almost nothing. I think there's a reason they never became a thing.

Ya I realize they were "special" trees but that's still crazy prices.

you could buy 3-4 trees from BH/WC for that price....and those are known, quickly-productive varieties. ..

I took inventory of my 2 Blue Hill orders and 1 Whitetail crabs order, and I wound up with 26 trees for camp. That's probably too many. Dad's cousin wants 2-3 but that barely cuts back on the work. I'll have some extra help this year, so it shouldn't be terrible.

Today I picked up lime, fertilizer and biochar for planting in 2+ weeks. Fence was acquired a few weeks back. I just need to cut weed mats from my giant roll.

I've got 16 total and 1 for a friend spread out over 2 weekends..gonna start easy with a 4 tree weekend by myself then gonna dive in with some help and do the remaining 12

This year's plan is to cut open a few areas for about 4 trees, next week, and the Driday of our planting weekend. Then on Saturday, we'll rent a skidsteer auger to drill all the holes, and get planting the rest of the day, and Sunday, if needed. I think it's a reasonable plan, as long as the weather cooperates. We should have 3-4 guys to plant this year, so I think we're good.
