I am counting triplets, not twins in this picture.

So I initially thought triplets, but like hillrunner I started counting legs and landed on twins. That being said, there is something under the fawn on the left that looks “extra.”

I think that’s the right fawn’s outstretched right back leg. Then, that same fawn’s left leg is just under it pointed toward that fawn’s body.

He always just has to show everyone up. Keep the pictures to yourself!! LOL

Turkey’s not feeling too well. Disregard his comment, Native. Keep sharing those Booners!!

I don't think twins in mule deer are all that common are they?

I don't think so, guess I should check.

According to the MDF: Females give birth to usually one or two fawns, with twins being more common among does in prime breeding age whose nutritional needs are met.

I would like to see the MDF start gang warfare with the RMEF. That would be fun to watch.

I used to live in Mule Deer country and just don't recall seeing Mule Deer does with more than 1 fawn. Whitetails it was pretty much the norm to always see twins. Maybe our Mule Deer does weren't "prime breeding age" LOL
