Trailcam pics

I've only been to the farm a couple of times this summer and have seen this buck every time in person. Hopefully he stays a homebody this fall too.

^^^ got a last year pic?

Whether he is 4 or 5 wouldn't make a difference in my book, but that's my opinion. Bases are done growing, but looks like he is still got a little more tine length to come.

Yeah, we aren’t going to get too hung up on age. We like to shoot the ones we want. I did convince dad to pass him last year and it’s looking like a good idea. He’ll look a lot different when the velvet sheds, but he should look good!

Get him in September. He will travel.....

Hmmm… Think he’s 5? I’m betting 4. Would be a tough ask for dad to pass him if he sticks around…

2.5 😜🤣

Holy crap I wouldn't be sleeping if that was on my camera. Nice deer!

Some great bucks there

I passed this guy last year during muzzleloader season. We thought he was at most 3.5 then. I will put together all of my footage of him at some point to make a video. His core range was right over one of our farms and that seems to be the case again this year. Crop rotations and some new neighbors might change all of that though.

Interestingly enough, he was shot through the neck at some point. You can see the wounds in earlier pics and vids from this season. I am assuming it happened after the muzzleloader season, or possibly the year prior. It doesn't seem to have affected his antler growth or overall health.

You can see the entry or exit here: https://giphy.com/gifs/HVxO58yAr39nHBhCzS

Giphy obviously lowers the quality to make a GIF. If one of us gets this buck I will put together a video with higher resolution videos. Fingers are crossed we can see him as much again this year.

T, I don't know if that bucks daddy can be alive.Thats a great buck

I just don't get how they swallow them whole but the next few pictures it didn't look easy

After a few weeks without any pics.....two bears showed up today.

Got two pics of this guy. I'd like to beleive it's not a cougar....but what else can it be? I think it's too big to be a feral cat.

Feral cat is my vote. Tail looks different from lion. It gets narrower towards the end.

I think it’s just a house cat also really tough to get a feeling for its size in those photos but seems way small for a lion.
