Tilling and grains

I bought a 4ft county line disc cultivator last year. Thought it did a good job.

Should I cultivate then seed, or seed then cultivate.

I thought i seeded then cultivated on sandy soil at camp where i could get the implement to.

At home i had decent rows. I cultivated a pass or two, then seeded, then did a pass again, then packed.

Would your advice change if you had 4ft-5ft tall vegetation vs about 1ft to 18 inches. Assuming rye n clover fall into existing vegetation. Discs are not agressive. Single pass seems to stir up soil like a double disc seeder does.

At home i have really dense clay. I could probably live w/o tillage at camp. Although putting seed a bit in sandy soil may help.

Still have a seeder on my mind. Might weld up steel pipe and sone sort of metering system. Building a single jet sprayer stand for behind the disc for sure.

Got 12v spreaders for the atv too, and a solo 421 for small seed

Dont mind it being labor intensive. Got 1/2 acre at home, and 1.5-2acres at camp.

If it matters, also got a swisher mower, lawn roller, cultipacker, spring harrows, and 15 gallon sprayer.
