The Wildlife Group is closing ?

Please send me some scions this winter. Sounds perfect for my Ohio pear project. Do you think it will survive Zone 4? It might fit into my Ontario orchard too.

I sure can.
I’m not sure about that far north, the guys in northern michigan would know more about pears up there by the bridge.
They have survived fine here with a couple weeks of sub zero temps and this past winter with a few days of wind chills in the -30’s.

More of my experience with Gilmer Christmas, fruit tennis ball size and round, thicker brown skin resembles Asian pears.
Has been biannual for me but still produces 1/4-1/3 of fruit on off years. Good DR, no trouble with black leaf spot or blight for me here. Grows fast, took about 6-7 years in ground to start fruiting good.

Sounds perfect. If I graft a few then there should always be at least one putting out a good crop. I got a few dozen Callery pears grafted in May. Looking forward to dormant season so I can remove the Callery trunks and fully convert the trees.
