Jim I liked the tractor tour but I couldn't understand much from the engine noise. After building your grinder how much do you have stuck into it verses buying one ?

Yeah, the engine noise is the deal breaker on the tractor tours. I had no idea what my voice was coming through as, because some idiot at Samsung made the headphones not pick up the mic while recording video.
Total cost was right around $2000, with shipping clocking a whopping 7% of that total. Comparable commercial model - $5K+? The gear box and driveline is rated for 80hp on mine.
Local grinding service quoted $100hr port to port (and they're 1hr away), so at 10 hours use so far give or take, I'm half way to free. Total shop time was under 40 hours, but I didn't keep track of it.
