Stock Market is the bottom in?

AMD is looking attractive at its current price. Anyone have any thoughts on this one? Is it a good buy? Or will they never be able to compete with Nvidia?

I just added my 7k to my Roth for the year and bought some more PLTR on today's dip.

I was really thinking about buying AMD in Dec. Was really hoping to see it pull down to around $110 before January 1. I was gonna stab at 100 shares, but it hasnt got there yet. Almost $130 now. I had my finger on the trigger at 120 and didnt do it. Still might jump in. We shall see.

Thinking I am gonna put a bunch into some cybersecurity ETFs. I own some WCBR currently. CIBR has me interested and will likely see an upcoming investment from me. Also going to add more Microsoft and Amazon. Might also add MAGS etf which is nothing more that the mag 7. I'm perfectly content having a bunch of cash plowed into big tech. I feel like a giant dumbass sometimes with over 50% of my net worth in CDs and low interest accounts. Should have bet it all on bitcoin. I could have retired at 45.

I'm going to buy into a Bitcoin ETF soon.

What do you like about AMD? I just can't find a reason to put money with them instead of Nvidia.

More than anything I like that the stock (AMD) has been badly beaten down. Wish they could have punished it more. I have a fair amount of NVDA pretty much at the money ($130). It is quite frothy and I'm ok missing out on it if it continues to run. I dont like to buy anything near ATH unless I have a bunch of cheaper shares to cushion it. NVDA didnt have the greatest reaction to blowout earnings last quarter. I really really regret not buying Google when it was around $135 10 months ago and Apple when it was around $160. Had my finger on the trigger both times and blew it.

I think investing in a very volatile asset like bitcoin should only be done with dollar cost averaging. Most people can't stomach the swings and will be rattled into selling. Whales can and do move the price, especially if they look to cause dips to buy more at a discount. If you are looking for exposure to bitcoin, consider buying actual BTC because you will be more likely to hold longer. I've had some since 2011, and the only reason I didn't sell is because of a bet and the fact I had none of my own skin in the game. Fortunately, I held through several market cycles (about every four years). I don't plan on holding forever, but I eventually became more serious about it when I thought of it as a long term store of value.

All but one person I know that has owned BTC at one time or another has sold only to re-buy at a higher price.

What about SMCI? You think they sorted their crap out, or are they headed for the dirt?

I don't rattle.

I'm not touching SMCI.

I can't find anything solid about that company. It seems like it's all hype. I feel like I'm either missing something or it's a borderline scam.

Quantum computing names taking it in the shorts in the pre market. The NVDA CEO said yesterday that we are at least 15 years away.....

Nice! PLTR is still dropping, and I'm buying on the way down. I'll probably be here all day watching the price action and buying 10 shares at a time.

Holy crap, did you see that volume spike at the opening? That was fast. My order for $68 didn't get filled.

Opened a small position in Google at $195, opened a small position on CIBR at $63.50, trying to buy a small position in MAGS that is unfilled yet....

I think I'll buy a couple shares of Costco over the next few days. I'd like to get it for under 900.

AMZN looks like it might dip below 220 soon.

MAGS looks good. Is your order at $55?

Man, a lot of stocks look like they've been stalling out over the last few months. I'm definitely buying PLTR and a little SOFI on the way down, but I think I might have to hold a lot of cash in case things take a major dump.

Do any of you look at mining companies? I am looking at some US based that have dividends.

Was looking at NEM, SSR, those types, just something maybe out the box? Iono....

Mags just filled at 55. I'd love for it to keep dropping. Would love to see a 10% correction here in January. I have a SEP, 2 Roth IRAs and a 529 to put money into.

I'm bullish on lots of stuff in the Mag 7. Tesla FSD and Tesla energy, all things Microsoft, Google and Amazon will keep grinding higher, NVDA is a monster, and Apple is Apple, Meta is reasonably priced for the amount of money they are generating.

Only for trading. The volatility can be great, but that's only trading patterns. I don't like investing in precious metals because I'm slightly negative in that sector as far as past investments. I don't really understand the forces that drive precious metal prices.

If I had to guess, gun to my head, I would guess precious metals will drop this year. If Trump makes good on his word and ends the Ukraine war, then sanctions against Russia will start to be lifted, and I think that the sanctions are the main driver behind gold prices going up. I'm worried the same thing might happen to Bitcoin, but I want exposure to Crypto anyway.

I think there is a VERY good chance you will get your wish. I'm going to hold out.
