For whatever reason we had thousands of them this past week in my county in NW Ohio. I saw a couple huge flocks with 5K plus up high spinning and lots of little flocks of a couple hundred flying low looking around and landing in fields all week.
Not common in my area at all, might see one or two flocks of 50-100 in the fall but this is really strange? A couple big flocks must have gotten blown off course or pushed east with cold temps.
