Sedge and Horsenettle

I wonder if this thing would work for fighting scatterings of sedge and horsenettle on my plots.

For a nutsedge, the propane burner would give you a top kill but not kill the buried nutlets. The nutlets will push new growth. If you burn it down repeatedly, the nutlets will eventually run out of energy and stop pushing new growth. Depends how much you need to kill and how many times you need to come back. Gly would work the same way.
