Screen

Just looking at my Cuddelink pictures this morning.....and thought I would show a pic of my NWW Sorghum screen. I planted two (five feet wide) runs with my drill. Looks pretty good for mid-December and I have noticed allot of deer activity around this area. I am certain the screen provides a level of security and plan to do more next year.

My HD screen didn't handle the November weather very well and looks like bamboo shoots that are mostly leafless.

This spot is in line for switchgrass and miscanthus but I wonder if the late planting of the HD screen mattered in these things shedding their leaves so quickly. 20241201_135406.jpg20241201_135402.jpg

I think that's pretty normal. Need a pretty thick screen for the stalks to do the work in late fall.

Drilling brassicas into standing beans today.

The Domain screen we planted is looking pretty damn tall and thick. If it stands tall into late November that would be awesome. Miscanthus planted behind it for future years.20250801_130452.jpg

Thats awesome!

My screen this year is awful. Planted a little early/wet and it has been mostly too wet since.

When did you plant the beans?

3rd year miscanthus in front of the blind I killed my WI archery buck last year. 3 rows planted ~18" apart.

How many times have you sprayed it? I don’t see a weed!
One pre one post. There's a few spots where I missed ~2' with the sprayer and hand pulled some pigweed/Palmer but otherwise pretty clean
