Rubbing tree

Grimby

Yearling... With promise
This white pine has been rubbed for multiple years and think it’s time to put a trail cam next to it next August🦌

Clear out the brush around it so it sticks out like a sore thumb. A buck should tear it up then.

That is if you are ok with the tree dying since the pines here are rubbed so hard they don’t survive.

It will be a great spot for a camera though

Will do. That tree is between 2 other white pines I planted 18 years ago, they haven’t been rubbed and are 12-15” diameter, rubbing definitely slows down growth and they never really recover and if the do heal a good wind gust will take down.
