Rootstock

5 year old buck +
When do you guys order your roostock so you can get more than say 'the last 9' from Cummins like everyone did this year, lol.

I would email them with what you want. Good to order now.

Who all you guys order from for roostock, mostly looking for B118 (prolly cummins), Antonovka and I'd like to try Ranetka too. How many? Oh i'm gonna go ape shit this next spring, I blame Matt mostly.

Williamette (spelling?) catalog just showed up at my house this week. Heard good things but I have always ordered cummins.

What is their minimum order or where are price breaks at?

Curious if Willamette will let you buy a bundle of 50 as a minimum buy?

Treco, Lawyer, and Willamette sell bundles of 50 or 100. Treco had a 100pc minimum order even if it came in a bundles of 50. I think I read Lawyer had a $250 min order. Not sure about Willamette but the skids outside Cummins warehouse were from Willamette.

Although you have a larger buy, the cost is a lot cheaper than Cummins or other retail sources. You do get to choose the caliper: 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 7/16, some larger.

Here is Willamette's Bud 118 page http://www.willamettenurseries.com/clonal-fruit-tree-rootstock/apples/bud-118

Treco shows their 2016 inventory already...Actually, looks like this was end of 2015 season.

I just put in my big order through one of the above mentioned sources. They told me they were in short supply of B118 in 1/4" size. I may have a few extra come next spring so if anybody is interested give me a shout then.

The urge to buy more rootstock is a strong one though.

Yes. Strong urge. Hopefully I can keep my resolve to make Spring 2016 simpler and easier than 2014 or 2015. Cheaper would be nice too.

I vow to my old aching apple tree hole digging body that I will not graft more than 10 trees next year and I will be very selective on what varieties. Yarlington Mill is high on list

Not unless they are dwarf rootstock then I would be happy to buy mine from you !!!!!

I might get a few of the larger Geneva but that is as dwarf as I'll go. Otherwise I will get 10 each of M106, M111, and B118.

I am at the G11 & 41 sizes. Trying to cram more into existing orchard spaces to cut down on time to maintain when spraying and pruning

I have bought from willimette for the last 5 years. Very happy with their stock, and reasonably priced. Get your order in now for b118, as they sell ou quickly
