Wanted to get some thoughts on a problem I have on a property. I recently purchased 400 acres on the MS River. The main channel of the river is a way from the bank, but when the river gets up the other channel becomes part of the river. There is a island about 1500 yards that separate us until it gets up. I have a camp that will not flood in the air based on the 100 year flood plain, but the problem is the bank is washing. From what I can tell the bank if about 4 feet down. The river hasn’t been down since I got the property to see what else it looks like. Looking for ideas in terms of fixing the bank. My thoughts were some concrete, riprap with some fabric underneath it and slope the bank. Even thought about sheet piling to help. Looking for what would be the cheapest but the best long term solution also. I have attached some pictures of the bank to show what it looks like now. Any other ideas I would appreciate.
