The best thing to do with YOUR equipment is a "dry" run with just water. Find a known size of ground, 1 acre works best...pick rate of travel you are comfortable with apply water to that 1 acre. When finished, figure out how much water is missing from your tank and you now have a "calibrated" rate for your sprayer/vehicle.

My 25 gallon boomless fimco on my ATV could get about 2 acres at 6-7 mph, it sprayed a wide swath.
My 55 gallon JD UTV sprayer with a boom gets about 2.5 acres on a full tank at 6-7 mph.

High level of variance there, it pays to know your equipment.

ETA, this is assuming you aren't messing with the pressure regulator or relief valve. Keep as many things constant as you can; speed, pressure, etc.

I guess it is just because the 3 pt sprayer I have has the wand holder on the front of the sprayer that I find it odd that many of the three pt sprayers I see pictured have the wand holder on the back of the sprayer. I prefer no cab tractors, and I can reach all the controls and wand from the seat of my tractor . I guess I am lazy.

Any thoughts on what to charge for a used Demco 60 gallon 3 point PTO pump sprayer with 12' boom? I picked it up dirt cheap and refurbed the broken parts. Going to test next weekend before listing it. I have a 60 gallon Cropcare that fits into a UTV bed and a 25 gallon Cropcare for the back of an ATV. I don't need the Demco, and will invest the funds elsewhere. I believe they run around $2000 new.

The maiden voyage was impressive. So comforting to have a sprayer work properly and actually spray every last bit of chemical out instead of making laps on the downhill side of the pump to get the last 10 gallons out! Sprayed 6 acres in under an hour and that was with a fill up and me fiddling around with it some.

It’s the same brand marlin mentioned. Ag spray equipment. I was going to order the one omicron linked but after shipping and tax and a delivery date of end of April I said screw it and went to the co-op and bought one. They actually gave me a great deal too

How big of a tractor do you have for that 110 gallon tank?

I ran it on my 53 hp open cab today it did totally fine. Even had to go uphill with the full tank. This one doesn’t have the loader arms either

It’s been great! I sprayed 80 gallons last weekend in my cabbed tractor and simply flipped the pto on and off at the end of the rows as some suggested and it couldn’t have been easier and more comfortable. I’ve had to play with the pressure some to get it where I want it but that’s expected. I love that it will spray every last bit out of the tank regardless of what angle I’m spraying at. I think that roller pump must be pretty strong.

Got any pics of the sprayer spraying? Also, for the orchard guys, would be nice to see how high that thing can spray with the wand. Also, folks would appreciate extra tanks for their side by sides, if your done with those tanks.

I saw your post in march just now. I use the same (2) T nozzles. I use a "Fimco" 1.1 or maybe 1.5 gpm pump open boar no regulator on 2 grey nozzles. However, I put the nozzles at rear rack height and pretty much rack width, think I added 3 inches on each side. Took some pvc pipe and (2) tees and made some thing looked like a double TT. The 2 parallel straight runs go under the rack about seat width apart. I can have a top of T boom places a foot past the rack. I don't use the PVC Pipe for the spry fluid. I just zip tied hoses and th 90 degree nozzle housings to the bar. Works pretty good. Made a $99 sprayed a double boom for about 40 bucks or so. I use marine outboard tank quick fittings to detach the boom and switch to spray wand.

MY honda 420 rancher keeps the clutch engaged well at 5 mph. My next pass I keep the width of the tire tracks the same as in between the tires. So I am effectively spraying about twice the width of the ATV. Sprays about 13 gallon an acre, unless the plot is pretty odd shaped. Recently sprayed my 1/2 acre plot with 10 gallons. Sprayed the 1/10th acre extension twice and the another 10th acre where red aramath was bad twice. So that was about .7 acres of spraying. There was about 1.5 gallons left in the tank when the sprayer started to air bound from low level. I keep that for spraying the base of the apple trees.

I bought a spare pentaire think it's 4gpm 90 psi pump, I should try it out. My spray rate will be day and night different unless I get a regulator.

I actually haven’t even cut the wand away from the zip tie yet! I will on Wednesday when I do more spraying.
I bought the boomless. I like it over having a boom to worrying about. If my tractor can make it the sprayer can make it.

Actually that POS 15 gallon you could stuff underneath or make a hanger off the front. Got a 2nd chemical you can spray while youre out there. Like triclopyr for brushy edges or apple tree sprays.
