Pristine apple

Turkey Creek

5 year old buck +
Finally got to taste a new variety to me. Lost almost everything to a spring frost this year, but did have a couple of Pristine on B9 make it. They got dinged by hail a couple of weeks ago. I picked them yesterday, they were completely ripe here in zone 5B. A crisp initial bite, not overly dense but not mushy. In my mind they had what I would describe as a light pineapple overtone. A keeper in my book. This is a picture of the good side.... I wont show you the hailed side!Pristine apple.jpg

I picked about 18 today while putting in plots today. I love these apples. Very tasty. I wish the trees were more vigorous.
