I'm planting 25 plum and 25 serviceberry tomorrow. I was planning on planting in a grid pattern going every other tree. Is this a good idea or bad idea? and why? Thanks
Goal is to try and add more diversity to what I've typically done in mostly oaks. I know the plums can potentially turn into thickets but i'm hoping to tube them to turn them more into a tree.
