Plow down crop?

I use the LC fall cereal grain mix with decent results. I just mow the rye and leave the clover until the next Labor Day. I had a new 1/4 acre plot that I did in buckwheat last year. I tried to double crop it. The first crop could not have done much better. The second one was not as good. We had a very dry summer though and it just never got enough rain to get going. It did it’s job though. This year everything is once again in last falls mix of rye and cover left for the spring and summer. I won’t be able to get out there as much this spring and early summer so I’m trusting in my rye and clover again. It’s kind of hard to mess it up even without a lot of maintenance. The rye keeps the weeds down for you and in my limited experience the clover is better the second time around - I have really poor soil too. Your results may vary.
