Persimmon tbud grafting

Is it possible to tbud or chip bud persimmons?
If so when is the right time to do it?

I had planned on trying that today, but the few test persimmon I tried refused to slip. I plan on checking again later this month.
I did black walnut, it slipped great, pecan and an oak, they were a bit tighter.

I have not done it myself, but I understand it can be done. Several experienced persimmon grafters suggest trying it on trees when bark grafting fails in the spring. They tell me once the graft fails to select one good water sprout and let it grow and remove all others. Then in mid-summer to early fall, T-bud to the water sprout. Again, I have not tired it myself with persimmons.
