Pear growth question

Charman03

5 year old buck +
I’m relatively new to pears. I planted one last year in a spot that was too wet, and before it died I transplanted it middle of the growing season. It survived and pushed out several new leaves towards the fall.

Fast forward to this year and the thing has grown straight up almost 9 feet tall now. The problem is that it has no branches yet. It’s a 9 foot main leader, no side branching. How should I prune this tree moving forward?E7410403-A27F-4406-9CEC-C8899AB03CF0.jpeg

Sorry for the sideways picture but you kinda get the point

I'd say it is ready to start making side branches. Remove the leave except where you want your scaffold whirls located.
