A month later, they are putting on a little growth. The 3 planted into 1 quart RB2s have done better than those in the smaller RM18s. Still have half a tray that still have the seed attached and more that are just a stem where everything above rotted off with the seed. As long as they stay green, I'll keep watering them and let them decide if they want to live or not. Some that rotted where stuck in the seed have pushed leaves from the good portion of the stem or one sent up a new stem.
The largest ones will get planted out soon in my backyard. I'll eventually graft them to named varieties. I have room for 5 or 6 trees. The rest will probably get planted on my folks farm, likely after they go dormant this fall.
