Our 2025 Target Didn't Make It

Unfortunately our target buck for 2025 was found a couple weeks ago about 15 miles downriver. We last had him on camera in early January and we expect he died not long afterwards. No idea on the COD, but he did have what looked like some fighting damage on his neck in the last picture we had. Either way, we have closure and can now focus on another buck. We still estimate him at 3.5 years old and around 145. Logan was able to get him and will have him aged and scored in addition to getting a euro mount.

We expect that he was washed down river. The group that found him had no history on him. Really surprised they were willing to let Logan have him. They just asked that he let them know the final age and score.

Got the euro back yesterday. We all aged it at 3.5 (one goober said he was 4).

The taxidermist scored it three times and came up with an average of 148 1/8 gross.
Logan scored it 3 times and came up with an average of 148 1/16 gross.
I scored it twice and came up with an average of 148 gross.
Our official scorer is out of town for a few weeks, so we will get his score when he gets back in town.
