Looks awesome. Let us know how you like it.

Very nice Jordan. Congratulations on the purchase.

Congratulations. Looks like a dream tractor... Let us know how you like it.

Very nice!

Now just take screw driver and put a big old scratch in it. Because you know in two years you're going to beating the crap out of it anyway. Especially with a FEL :)

Haha one time my dad bought a new walnut stick rifle. I was a young teenager and he let me mount the scope. I was torquing down the rings with a big flat screw driver and it slipped off an scarred to heck out of the stock! We still laugh about that! That rifle was literally 2 hrs old lol... your comment reminded me of that :)

I know the feeling. Only new substantial purchase i ever made. Except for lawn mowers. Always been a buy used guy. But sure feels good to have a new piece of equipment.
Couple things to think about as i know you have multiple businesses
*Can assist you in your taxes;)
*Write it up as ag for your tree nursery biz and get out of sales tax:)

Very nice. It brings back old memories of when mine was new. It sure looked good back then; there were no rips in the tires from spinning on rocks from blindly spinning thru mud with rocks hidden underneath. I even used to wash it at the end of especially messy days which was mostly normal. Even after they get a little rough looking though they still keep on ticking along and getting stuff done. Good luck with it; all it ends up getting used for will amaze you.

Nice machine look forward to some videos of you using it

Jordon,

I ended up buying a DK45 4x4 with a FEL about 10 years ago. I had the option of buying a new one similar to the one in the picture (but older) or the exact same model with a cab that was used, a year older with a couple hundred hours. That is what I opted for. It has been a great tractor but has spent a lot of time in the shop for repair. I don't fault the tractor for most of the repairs. I used the FEL to do clearing work and really over worked it. I've had loader pins break several times and bent the arms. had to have some cracks welded. I had to replace the bracket on one side that bent.

One day when I was having a loader pin replaced. In my loader (not sure if the newer models are like this) the end of the pin is tapped for a grease fitting. I couldn't find an exit hole for the grease. I asked the guy at the counter and he told me it was probably under the sticker and the sticker needed to be removed. I spent the next 5 minutes scraping off the sticker. No exit hole. They checked some more pins. About half of what they had in stock did not have the exit hole drilled into the pin. Probably a bad batch. I broke a front axel once but that was probably due to the clearing work.

For normal farming tasks the tractor can handle a lot for its size. It is geared well and I can't recall ever using the lowest set of gears. I travel using the high set and operate using the medium set. The lowest set is pretty much a crawl gear.

The one major design flaw on mine is the AC. This won't be a problem for you. They have a screen in front of the radiator so you can easily clean it in the field. There is not such screen in front of the condenser. Once it plugs up the AC works overtime and I've had the compressor replaced more than once.

Overall, it is a good tractor and I've been happy with it. Had I to do it over again, I probably would have gone for a 60 hp model.

I was talking to one of the mechanics, he said the new models are quite different. You practically can't do any service on them without a computer.

Thanks,

Jack

It is an orange tractor but NOT a Kubota! :) Good luck with your new purchase.

Looked real hard at kabota but could not justify the 6k extra for similiar spec tractor;)
Kioti dealer is fairly close an has been great to work with this far. Time will tell. Hope i made the right choice

When I looked at the two, the thing that swayed me toward Kioti in terms of the tractor itself was the difference in weight for a similar hp/class tractor. The Kioti was much heavier. The even bigger thing that sold me was the shop. When you buy a tractor, you are making a very long term commitment. I spent more time interviewing the mechanics and service departments than looking a the tractors. I find it more important to have a healthy long-term trusted business relationship than the specific color/brand of the tractor. Another important consideration was distance to the dealership. I have 1 blue, 2 orange, and 1 green within 10 miles of my farm. Transport for service adds up over time.

Thanks,

Jack

I adopted similar philosophy when buying polaris ranger

Service and distance to dealer......
