Other than touch up paint this job is over! If the next owners don’t rip it out and IF I did it right I’d say this thing will out last me X2. 
The gates are offset to the back so I can swing them all the open flat against the fence on the back. Only way to make that work with hexagonal post. I took broken pieces cut off the cross thing and flipped them over. Welded to other broken pieces and made a gate that matches but looks different.
Turned out good, but never again!

Oh man Bill, that came out nice. Great pic, and great work. If that pic was in black and white your home and neighborhood could pass for something out of 1940 America.

It’s not where I live full time. Though about 50%. We rent apartments out weekly in the summer. Oldest beach resort in America. Lots of Victorian architecture. Here’s the view from the front porch. US flags on every house in the summer.
Next time I’m on the roof I’ll take pics.
It’s an amazing view.

Quarantined. Not because of”it” But I’ve been reworking a side room into a laundry room for my wife. This room had 1970 linoleum and square 1x4 trim.
Work in progress but, here’s so far. I’m trying to combat guys who did this stuff 150 years ago. (And those bastards were good!) The house was built in 1865. Looks easy but the floors aren’t level, the walls aren’t square and there isn’t a 90 degree cut anywhere.
If I live long enough I’m going to build a Victorian gothic deer box just because someone should.

I guess this thread makes it obvious besides deer hunting I have a passion for junk and all things old.
Weird hobby but I like finding antique lighting and restoring it. I’ve done everything from chandeliers to wall sconces.
Table lamps are the most available and they show up in the oddest places. Anywhere from junk stores to restores. Their even in antique stores but usually antique stores are asking retail price unless they don’t what they have.
usually I keep them but These guys may hit eBay.
Found them in a restore. Disassembled, cleaned, rewired, polished what could be and painted what couldn’t.
after CV if things go well these are worth at least 3 good ladder stands :)

Finished my wife’s new laundry room today. Man it got small when I put everything in there. But on the plus side it’s 3 times bigger than the old one. She used it for the first time today. Don’t look at where the crown matches the ceiling. :). I’ve found that if you try to fill those spaces with spakle or...ugg, caulk. It will fail inside of 3 months as things dry and shrink. Best to suck it up and live with it for 6 months then finish it.

Finished up a 1930’s Art Deco polychrome chandelier today. Yeah it’s a weird hobby. But we have a house built in 1865 and I’m slowly replacing the Chinese Home Depot lights with old made in the “USA” stuff.
As found, it wasn’t in bad shape.

Nice! I like the different color accents. That should give you a couple get outta jail free cards.
I get asked often how I manage to spend the entire month of November at the farm.
Best answer I have is, “build up a “LOT” of credit the other 11 months..”

Yep, taking care of what the wife needs sure does pay off. Have some buddies who are still trying to figure that out. Those credits let us boys get out to play!
