Ohio Pheasants

Have taken Darcy out four times so far hunting public and we have gotten seven roosters, our season came in November 6th. A couple mornings were over fast and the other two were a lot of walking really putting in time to get birds up. Without the dog I might have gotten one or two.

Opening day

I didn’t measure it but would say it had to be close to a couple feet. It was pretty cool how that bird fell. It didn't just fold up after the shot it kind of fluttered down like a butterfly soft landing into some foxtail along some standing corn and was just lying there wings out dead as a stone when the dog ran to get it.
