Prairie Fire crabs are rated very highly for DR. It's won several awards including "Tree of the Year" - I believe in Iowa(?). If not a deer crab, it's a great pollinator, bloomer for bees & other insects, and is good for small fruit for birds into the fall, according to written accounts. Nice to look at in spring and fall!

Well...……..I spoke too soon. Just looked outside and it is actually snowing here now. Forecast shows 28 tonight. I guess my fruit in the low spots could be in trouble but I have hope for the ridges.

near 70 here yesterday and calling again for snow Thursday and Friday back to the 20's as well??
up and downs all I seem to get anymore with weather here!
and LOTS of rain!
