Took the boys out for a quick ride through the forest preserve tonight. Saw nearly 100 deer in just a few minutes covering less than a square mile. Armed with some treats I probably could have fed this guy by hand.

Nope, only a mile or so from O'Hare. Butts up to Chicago city limits. With some photography skills and equipment like CrazyEd's old man I could get some really cool photos of the studs roaming around out there.

Yup you have to know the seasons..my brother in law got caught a year or two ago wanting to bow hunt the weekend of the doe hunt.

Statewide but you need a tag for your county, zone & land type. Shouldn't be too many tags for the forest zones, just youth military & disabled hunters.

They did away with the holiday hunt in the southern part of the state.

Ha. Kinda ironic that I drive over 200 miles hoping to see a deer when I'm a 10 minute drive from seeing 50+ any given afternoon.
