NFL Football Games.....Live discussion

Of course winning is important but it's a team game. Win/loss record doesn't rest soley on the QB's shoulders, but of course you know that.

McCarthy isn't a first year player. Second year in the system, but regardless of that, every single first year guy is ahead of him on these lists.

You can call me names if it makes you feel better, but if your point of view is that McCarthy isn't ready than it's organizational malpractice to run him out there. He has been nothing short of horrible and he has maybe the best WR in the league to throw to.
He was 6-4 . Had injuries yes.

You never answered which team would trade their QB for Love ?

One more post … who (below) trades their QB for Love ?

Name one . This is the ultimate way to determine value ?

Goff/Stafford too old to trade …. Look below

Mahomes
Hurts
Allen
Prescott
Burrow
Lawrence
Stroud
May
Nix
Drake Maye
J Daniels
Herbert
Caleb Williams
Darnold (would be a maybe)

None of these , except possibly Darnold ?
Why do you insist on playing hypothetical games about trades? Trades are based on a multitude of things and don't reflect a player's value going away.
If you were to make a straight list which QB NFL GM's would rather have on their roster, Love is ahead of
Hurts
Prescott
Lawrence
Stroud
Nix
J Daniels
Caleb Williams
Darnold

That leaves these guys as preferred QB over Love as it stands right now -
Mahomes
Allen
Jackson (you left him out)
Herbert
Burrow
Maye (you listed twice for some reason)

You changed the subject again . Name which team on that list would trade their QB for Love ? It’s a simple question?

Straight up one for one?

I didn't change the subject you're creating hypotheticals out of thin air. Trades aren't a "would I rather have" scenario. Foolish to act like they are. Too many factors involved to say otherwise.

Name a single team in the NFL that would trade their starting QB for McCarthy

As soon as you name one team on that list that would trade for Love ? I’ll respond then, & you have to be serious not joking …

I just listed which teams would rather have Love than their QB. Go ahead and tell me the teams that want McCarthy.

You didn’t answer which teams would actually trade their QB for Love straight up —None of them obviously?

Off to bed … let’s see how Jordan does the next two weeks. Packers are favored against the Bears (good luck 🍀)!

Who’s winning the 49ers/Eagles game ?

Packers pissed it away in the 4th quarter with another historical collapse. Love played great, can't fault him. Even on their final drive he hit a few receivers in the hands and they just weren't up to the moment.

LaFleur is catching hell from the fan base and rightfully so. Even with the injuries (and they've been horrible) the team was in position to win; whether timid play calling, bad clock/TO management, or just getting out played...the coach takes the fall (rightfully) for these collapses. I'm indifferent, if they move on, he will have his pick of any open job in the league, but it's been long enough and they haven't gotten over the hump with him at the helm. Bad part would be, they could make a change and possibly wind up in a worst position. We'll see what the next few days bring.

Two weeks ago I would have thought LaFleur's job was safe. But with Harbaugh now in the mix who knows. I'd have to be pretty confident I could get Harbaugh before I let go of LaFleur though. The other guys who've been fired are crap, except maybe for Carroll but he's got age issues.

If the Packers got Harbaugh as a HC and McDaniels as the OC, I think that would be an upgrade overall, depending on the DC.

It'll be interesting to see what comes out of Green Bay today.

Schefter reporting that LeFleur and the Packers are working on an extension. The most likely scenario all along, he's not without flaws but he'd be hard to replace.

Your guy Love did everything he could do for sure, giving him due credit. He needs better players around him. Same as it was with Rodgers all those years. Common denominator is the Packers organization. Small market maybe making it tough...

Love is a stud, there's no doubt about that, the debate is over.

Their special teams has cost them more post season games than should be possible over the past 25 years. I'd love to blame it on coaching but at some point, the players have to execute. Coaches don't miss kicks, coaches don't fumble on-side kicks, etc.

It's still one of the best run organizations in pro sports. With high expectations come big let downs, only one team gets to win the last game.

A little conspiracy for this thread too.

Coach LaFluer should have put Malik Willis in for a couple of plays in the second half to jump start the team after they went 3 and out in consecutive possessions, Willis has been exceptional when he's played, That was a coaching oversight. When you see LaFluer in between plays he has his head stuck in that I pad instead of managing the game. Extend his contract for a couple of years and then hire an OC to run the offense.
