NFL Football Games.....Live discussion

No pressure on him at all this year. Next year and the year after will be the pressure years. Those are the years his contract actually starts to cost the team real money.

You so badly want him to be Kirk Cousins and KOC to be a good coach you can't admit that Love and LeFleur have already very much surpassed anything Cousins or KOC have done.

BS… I never bragged up Cousins ? I said Jordan Love is the black Kirk Cousins . Nice stats, doesn’t win big games . We will see if he changes that trajectory?

I can tell you one thing he’ll never surpass Cousins stats . Highly unlikely . Love has 1 yr of throwing for 4000 yds or more , & one year of throwing 25 TDs or more .

Cousins has done it 7 times & 8 times years in his career.

O’Connell has a Super Bowl ring as the O Coordinator with the Rams. Lafleur is 3-5 in the playoffs . Which one would you pick ?

My opinion of the Vikes is that for some reason we don't try to run the ball nearly enough. JJ will be a decent QB if we get a good supporting cast and change up the game plan in general to help him settle down and get some confidence back. Brosmer was thrown to the wolves against Seattle and I didn't see anything close to the right game plan for him. Brosmer got the absolute worst bounces but kept on slinging because once again there was hardly a running game by the Vikes. This season looks like they all just started playing together as a team about 1 day before season started. Not sure on where they need to improve first but there's not many QB'S anywhere that could do much without having the time to throw the ball. KOC is having his worst year coaching and doesn't even seem like the same guy. Hey, at least the vikes have a kicker. That's about the only positive I've seen this year. It's always been hard to be a vikings fan but this might be the hardest year just going by memory. Can only go up from here. Right?

Why do you always compare apples to oranges? Post KOC's playoff record next to LaFleur's. Nobody cares about when KOC was the offensive coordinator.

Lafleur (counting this year) will be in the playoffs 6 of 7 years and KOC 2 of 4 years(counting this year). Which one would you pick?

I never said you bragged up Cousins, I said you keep comparing Love to Cousins and so badly want him to be the failure Cousins was/is/always has been in prime time (playoffs).
Cousins peak throwing to Jefferson and Thielen was maybe as good as Love is in year 3 as a starter, IMO. The arrows are pointing up for Love, they were always just neutral for Cousins, that's why everyone always laughed about him bleeding the Vikes of so much guaranteed money.

imo, all of you all are right. Yes, Love has done better than most young qb's in the NFL, and if one had to assemble a team right now and pick a young one, he should be close to the top of the list for anyone if they're interested in winning. Like others, I hesitate to give him as much credit as you do Brian. He's still got more to prove to me, as I've personally watched some of his play that didn't impress me, but I could say that about most of the qb's in the league. Then I see him win games in the last quarter, or last drive, so I've seen the clutch performance out of him this year. I feel like the Packers have a good enough team for him to flourish and show his best stuff. Let's see how he does in the clutch in the playoffs. I'm rooting for him!
All the talk about Cousins is pretty accurate. After watching that QB show I mentioned earlier, I actually feel kinda bad for him cause I know he wants it, he just can't get a team there. Then I don't feel bad, cause lord he's fleeced several NFL teams out of some major money.
Lastly, to me it's way harder trying to figure out who's a good coach. Of course, like athlete's, their stats matter. You all are picking the gnat shit of the pepper if you start debating who's better between Lafleur and KOC, who the f can really tell unless you're in the locker room or huddle. But, if I had to choose, Lafleur it is.

I'm not giving him undue credit. Even last year when he was really banged up, he played winning football most games, but was certainly helped by his defense some games as well.

He's balling out this year and has for most of his young career. The playoffs, he's been fine to good in his young career, that's not even debatable tbh. He still has more to prove of course and I believe he will.

Is he a top 5 QB? Not yet, but he's playing like it this year. Is his team talented? Of course, most good teams are and nobody does it alone. He's been without some key weapons, lost a really good TE for the year, and had a banged up o-line and still producing this year.

It's going to be fun to watch this Packers team over the next few years to see what they're made of. If LaFleur stays aggressive, they can compete with anybody.

McCarthy may be to QB what Walz is to governors

Drake Maye is lighting it up for the Patriots . He’s the top MVP candidate right now. They only won 4 games last year !
