Neem oil

i talked to a local orchard owner about what he used for spraying and he said he used neem oil from Walmart and was very happy with the results. So I picked some up and have periodically sprayed this summer. It seems to have worked very well on keeping the jap beetles and hoppers at bay and we have a ton of both. It has also made a noticeable difference in the effects of CAR. Everything we have planted is listed as resistant but we still have it show I assume from the sheer number of cedars in the area. Was curious what the experienced folks thought of the product?

I know a number of backyard fruit growers have good success with it for insect control. I dont think it would have any effect in preventing CAR, but I cant say that I have any proof of that.

Should have clarified. Didn't start spraying until well after onset of CAR but the leaf spotting either disappeared or significantly improved within a week of first application.
