Wasn't sure where to ask this so hopefully this is the correct place?
I am growing bur oaks from scratch. They are less than a year old and are probably anywhere from 12-20 inches tall right now. When leaves begin to turn brown, I pull them off. New leaves always grow back. But some that grow back are much smaller.....like a miniature version of what was growing. What is going on?
