Doesn't look like they have much left.Does the $5 sale only apply to people who bought from them in the past? If not, that'd be great to know when that all goes down
Usually after everything ships they will do a $5 sale. Rootstock and variety unknown. Not for everyone but I have a lot of space to fill so I will take a shot. Although after the shipment I received today I may reconsider. Trees were not packed well and one group of three were very dry. They were also the biggest trees I have received from them (nova spy) and each only had a couple very large roots that were chopped off for shipping. I put two of them in my back yard because I figured there was no way they will live at camp without being babied. My dolgo's were leafed out and turning yellow. Hopefully I can keep everything moist till Saturday.Does the $5 sale only apply to people who bought from them in the past? If not, that'd be great to know when that all goes down
I just checked their DR list and among the usual varieties guys plant for deer - or eating - they have 105 Goldrush, 89 Sundance, 21 Winecrisp, 58 Enterprise, 88 Golden Russet, and 38 Dayton. All these are on either MM-111, B-118, or P-18 roots. There are many others, but I listed the usual DR varieties. Just a FYI.
Well flush that $100. 15 trees, mostly pears, rated zone 5, no disease resistance. Won't try that again. Maybe I will roll the dice and plant near my zone 5 Ayers pear on his 4th leaf and I believe will have blossoms. They confirmed my order today. 15 various trees on the way. It sounds like they are labeled but they just pull them at random so I will know what they are. I am going to put them in root bags until next year. I will update what I get so everyone's knows what to expect if you want to try next year.
I thought they said zone 4 or lower :confused:Well flush that $100. 15 trees, mostly pears, rated zone 5, no disease resistance. Won't try that again. Maybe I will roll the dice and plant near my zone 5 Ayers pear on his 4th leaf and I believe will have blossoms.
I guess technically he said they would be fine in New York. There is a lot of NY below zone 5.I thought they said zone 4 or lower
