Knotty apple limbs? Any ideas

Anyone know what causes these small knots around the buds? I noticed them this past weekend while pruning. I’m hoping it’s nothing serious I thought it was just one cultivar but I noticed on most of my apples throughout the orchard.

I am not sure of the technical name for this is, but it is just where last years leaf stem was attached. In the fall, when it drops off, this is the scar that is left behind. It is perfectly normal. At least that is one man's opinion.
