Japanese beetles

Banjoman

Yearling... With promise
Just sprayed my trees with captan/Imidan about 4 days ago.Had a couple days of light rains since. My trees have good fruit and are doing well under my regular spraying. The last several days the Jap beetles have been swarming everywhere and theres plenty on my apple trees.Looks like the are mating but i do have some minor leaf damage. Is imidan effective on these pests?? I do have a old bottle of sevin on hand.Would that be more effective?? I dont really want to thin any fruit with it though. Any advice??? thanks

Imidan is listed as good for jap beetles, Sevin as excellent control. You do mention it is an old bottle of Sevin, not sure on its potency if it is old. Sevin will not thin apples at this point of the season.
