Imox Question

Been spraying w/Clethodim and Butyrac 200 for yrs but decided try a Imox type product. Just sprayed 3ac of a 5yr old white ladino plot. Broke down and bought a gal of Imazacast (Same AI as Imox, Raptor & Beyond) and already had a gal of left over Clethodim. KPS suggested a mix of 6oz of Imazacast, 8oz of Prime crop oil and 10oz Clethodim per ac until Clethodim is all gone then use the Imox. Hopefully it be a one and done for spring.
I see in a post from Bill last year that you also mixed Cleth with the Imox on a 5yr old plot as a Hail Mary. Impressive results with the mix but do you find the Imox and Crop oil as good or have you incorporated some Cleth into the solution?

How to these herbicides effect apple trees? I have a clover plot amongst my apple trees, I am trying to figure out if I can spray anything on the clover, to knock weeds back, but not effect the apple trees.

Cleth or Butyrac200 did not seem to effect mine. Today was the first w/the Imox/Cleth combo. I have about 30 red/yellow delicious and Arkansas Blacks, 15 pears and a bunch of Chinese Chestnuts to spray around. So far 4yrs no problems. I Try to get the spray as close as I can but not on the trees. If I would use the wand I could get closer but the Apple trees are in cages. I did get some on the bases of the trees today so I do have the same question.

I haven’t used crop oil yet. I use dawn dish detergent in place of it. That field with heavy grass put grass growth on again by the end of summer. If I find time I may hit it again this year. If not there is still plenty of clover to feed deer in there.

I wouldn’t want 2,4 D-B getting on any tree leaves. I think I might really harm them. Not sure on imox. I’d read the label.

if you have grass in the clover clethodim won’t hurt your trees.
