Need a zoom out of the area and tell us what you know about the neighbors. That woods can be close to useless if theres alot of activity near it.
Check out you local soil and water district. Need some privacy planting from the raod and backyard. Not sure about TN. But a row of srpuce and a row of pine. Maybe make a screen of tall growing plants in the meanwhile. I'd do both. Trees likely need caging.
What equipment do you own? Any farmers interested in the land to lease? Maybe for a reduction in price, he can put a winter nurse crop there.

OVerallI would A.) start screening. B.) make those bedding areas and clearance mast trees. Basically cut down the usless trees and promote light to the better ones C.) mow the middle and make the edges brushy. D.) do some sort of imorvement on the field edges. E.) improve how you get in there in morning and park the vehicle.
I like to leave a few yards to go to brush. I like to make little hiding holes they can stay in while looking to see if its safe. IF you only got an ATV, you can make a foodplot alongside the
