$1,283 an acre is very cheap, even for WRE land, especially if a duck flys over it. He probably took a gamble thinking with the right marketing he could make a quick profit.

I’m from the Mississippi delta area and very familiar with these island type tracks. I never was a fan of them. Nothing keeps the farmer from planting a food plot and killing everything.

Big 3 parcel auction happened a ways away here recently. Think the parcels went in 8K range (hunting land with a little income). Pretty sure another realtor office bought it.

Maybe he looses his butt. Which would suck for him. But the guy had the balls to try. I hope he wins.

And if he wins someone will cry fowl where is my fair share.

It's pretty common now for listings, especially ones targeted for hunting to include those.

It looks like the place I walked; I remember that stand in the background. It would be pretty easy for a potential buyer to verify though. The pics are very recent and the rice bran piles should be easy to locate.

Rifle season kicked off this weekend with a bang…literally. I imagine this is what Gaza sounds like right now. Got me to thinking. We have undoubtedly been in some high cotton with regards to deer hunting. Numbers are sky high most places and quality has been outstanding where hunters can get out of their own way and let deer live past 3.5. I fear that we are witnessing a technological boom that is increasing the efficacy of hunters to a point where quality (not so much quantity) suffers greatly. It appears anecdotally at least, that the majority of hunters are fine with taking immature...

I also wonder if the pics are actually from the advertised property, it is one way a property can be misrepresented like a used car.

Saying the buck pics are legitimate. Deer season in LA already been open for a couple months and those bucks are still alive. Do you have equivalent sized bucks on your ground in KY?

It would worry me being an island of woods in an ocean of fields.

Yeah, that had me second guessing my decision not to buy it last year. I didn't really think bucks could get the age on them like that on that parcel the way Louisiana is and the way it's surrounded by fields and a road. I had one or two equivalent in Kentucky this year, but it was sporadic except for season opening and a couple days during peak seeking. I have a plan to combat that this year though.

The properties I look at are condos in topsail nc and st Petersburg Florida.

Wife wants me to buy some land near work, but I think I'm going to need the cash more for her dream.

I put away the trail cameras labor day. Just use them for fun really. Mostly use pics to drum up interest to family and members at camp. Seeing moose is very nice, but seeing them too much at camp for my liking. Scares deer away and we got too many idiots. Someone gonna whack one with a transmitter. Hopefully not my camp.
