I don’t know what the monthly prizes will be. But John Volkman just donated us a K series cell unit that can be used as a stand alone cell camera or as the home cell unit in a cuddelink network.

This will be the year end winner vs winner prize.

better get your cameras out!!!

Was trying to get a turkey that walked through here but will have to settle for a woodpeckergate.jpg

Swamp Cat, if Bill's about to call this one I'd pull your last two shares and post them in a July contest if there is one! Both are awesome!

No shortage of captures at my place... BUT none share-worthy and low on buck captures due to letting a couple of locals stomp all over my place... though I'm growing more begrudging by the day.

Couple with two lap dogs and a child got t-boned at a rural flashing light crossing over two weeks ago a mile from my place and as fate would have it one of the lap dogs briefly ran onto my place before running away from us into the woods. I gave the couple permission to search the property that evening as darkness fell and said they'd be welcome to visit again.

Next thing I know they've put out water bowls and food in three spots, laid out dog beds in multiple spots, and are spraying some scent concoction they dreamed up on small rags laid at about 30 yard intervals along my field borders. Does and hogs don't seem the least bit bothered by the intrusion. Bucks on the other hand almost instantly went M.I.A.

In the meantime I've shared with them that despite getting over 3,000 videos of does, hogs, coyotes, hawks, armadillos, rabbits, coons, and bobcats from 16 cameras lacing my place not a single whiff of the shih tzu / miniature poodle 10 pound dog they lost, and that's with coyotes having paraded with at least two fawn kills at the same time in front of the cameras. How they think that 10 pound dog has suddenly become a survivalist in the BRUTAL Florida heat without any human help / intervention is beyond me. I think it *might* could have made it two days without help, and they've not found a soul yet who's spotted it... yet continue trying to find it on my limited-acreage tract, in large part because the 4,000 acre plantation I sit against WON'T give them permission to search their wild land.

Soooo... long story short, jealous of y'all able to post in June!

Not really in it to win it - just want to share some of my local wildlife pics.
