I deff don't want semi dwarf with the snows and things we get deer would destroy those trees. All my current trees are sprayed for weeds and pests and fence in, I'll do the same with these. The soil is sandy for sure and has a PH of 5.5.
I want to do crab varieties as they are less maintence and seem to be a bit more resistant to the bad things. I'd love some late droppers though too. My laconte pears aren't doing well and my kiefers were a total bust so i'm looking to add some pear to the 12 apple trees I have so far.
