Google maps just updated images of my farm…

Just looked at mine and was surprised it was updated as well. 2012 was the last time it had been updated.

Already pay for calf shelters…..

I like google earths historical imagery. Msps from years ago.

I csn see where thr logging lanes are easier before tbey get brushed up.

My little spots i plant come out bright green snd guys from the club still ask where they are......

For the Minnesota folks, there is a pretty easy to access site to see images dating back to the 30's and 40's: https://extension.umn.edu/my-minnesota-woods/how-find-out-what-your-woods-looked-past

This is my favorite web app for seeing somewhat recent imagery of anywhere in the US. I think you have to use a desktop because it requires some computing power:

Finally updated here, after what seems like forever. Shows the storm damage from last spring, west side is the worst. Orchard is showing up along with bee hives.Screenshot_20241106-043041.pngScreenshot_20241106-043912.png

I guess I do work for the County and we have 1" imagery flown every 3 years. Last time was spring 2023, so hopefully I get some projects done before next time. Here is a pic of the new redneck next to my food plot after we got it burned, but before we got it planted.

One of the apps I use (Spartan Forge) accesses some of the aerial GIS imagery like that in limited areas. My dad’s small place happened to be included last year. It is pretty wild to see that kind of resolution.

Google maps still at least 10 yrs old by my place. Duckduckgo maps has been updated within last couple yrs. Think that pulls from same as Apple mapping app. Google does allow one to zoom in better but has the most dated pics compared to basically everyone else for free viewing...DDG, Bing, etc. Guess my area is too boring for county to update for lack of new road projects. Suits me fine in that regard.
