Follow up to last year’s creation of a drained raised bed for fruit tree plantings. Pics 1 and 2 are this weekend, 3-5 last spring.

It's nice to see a plan come together with such success, well done! It looks like you gave each tree plenty of room to grow too.

All the improvements I do at the farm revolve around habitat management. Since there is a never ending amount of work to do, I focus on efficiency of maintenance with everything I do. In this case, the last thing want is to have the tree spacing so tight that mowing around them is problematic in the future.

As it is, I have about 50 apple, pear and chestnut trees on the field edge already.

Have you seen any spotted lanternfly at your place yet? check on Ailanthus, black walnut, osage orange, fruit trees.......

They arrived last September.

Congratulations White Birch on the success of your project. The growth on your trees is far above what I even thought possible.
