Envy apple, anyone going to try these?

Braeburn, Royal Gala cross. Just seeing them show up in stores, and had a couple for lunch last week, crisp good flavor, strange that the fruit doesn't brown when cut. Don't know about patent status, or availability.......

They are one of many "club" apples that have popped up recently. We deer managers will be unable to grow it anytime soon (if ever). It is a good apple, but most of these "next big thing" apples seem to have very similar flavor/texture to Honeycrisp, at least to my palate. Honestly, when I am in the mood for that type of apple, nothing really beats a HC, again, IMO.

Zestar! just hit the local supermarkets here within the last 3 to 4 days. Everyone rages on about those as well, but to me they are just average.

I have tried a few Envy (only because my wife who doesnt eat apples and often does the grocery shopping thinks they all taste the same) I dont care for them. IMO nothing beats a good Cripps Pink (Pink Lady).
