Elevated blind finished!

How stable is the base? any wobble at all?

What did you put on the roof? I would like to build my next with that configuration, and have thought about it quite a bit. For the life of me I cant think of a good way to roof it.
I just used rolled rubber on roof with drip edge. Should last a very long time. You can see by this pic how I built it.

Solid as a rock. I have it cabled down to ground anchors but probably not needed. The stairs have a little wiggle but the base is very sturdy.

Looks very stable. The design of all of it looks top notch. Should be extremely comfortable. Nicely done.

Got it, it looks like you went flat. Did you buy the glue to adhere the rubber down? That seems like a good way to do it.

I actually used 2x6” boards and cut them to have just over 3” slope from the center to edge. It’s not much but enough to let water run off. The glue I got for free from a roofer.

Nice build! I have to start building mine. My tree stands are nice, but I'm getting really tired of sitting in bad weather.

You should be very proud of that!! It's one very nice looking box blind.

Is that engineered wood siding? If so how thick is it? Are the windows and door made by deerview or something you made from scratch? Looks great!

Yeah, it’s smart siding I bought at Lowe’s. Wasn’t cheap but I know it’ll last. The windows and door are DeerView.

Nice work on the blind and the stairs. I recently put up a redneck blind but built the stairs as the ground sloped to the point a steel stand would not have worked. My stairs have a 16' length so I added a mid point support so they would not bounce or sway. I also added a large porch and angled the railing so I did not lose the use of my bow windows. My constructions pretty rough compared to yours but its functional and safe.

Any pictures of how you did the framing for the roof? And where did you purchase the windows? How did you seal the seems on the outside where the two meet? One more question have any idea on how much you have in just the blind and base? Awesome job!!

This picture shows a little bit of the roof. I just used 2x6s and cut them on an angle so it has about 3” of drop from the center peak to each edge.
The windows I purchased from deerview. They are the framed deluxe hinge. I caulked around the outside of window frames so they are sealed.
I have around $800 in base including steps, tie down cables, anchors, ect. Have around $1200 in blind. The windows and door were most of the cost. It could be built much cheaper.

I have no plans, I just bought some wood and started building. The platform is 6’x9’ I believe.

Thats a nice blind.
I just picked up 2 of the Banks Stump 4 Vision series blinds.
I got one up 12 ft.
I still need to anchor it and build some better steps but its good enough for this season.
I have to say its solid, we had 60 to 70 mph winds the other night and its still standing.
I cant say enough how well it contains scent.
The deer pay absolutely no attention to it.
I put it out a week before our gun season started, kind of late due to covid delays. I was worried it was going to freak the deer out but I ended up killing the buck I was after on the 1st afternoon.
Im hoping to get the 2nd one up next weekend and Im hoping to get a 3rd, maybe I may try the Muddy for next year.
I have 3 stands sites on 50 acres snd these will be replacing the ladders and hang ons

I'll take some heat but stay away from Muddy. The guy I hunt with has 5 of them and was a previous dealer. They are the biggest piece of junk for their cost on the market. As they age more will regret ever owning one. Some only a year old.
