Has anyone in the East Texas region caught up with the new TReFIP program? The structure looks to be very promising with a lot of different options for reimbursement. Not limited to just burning or planting this time around. Here's a link to the main website: https://tfsweb.tamu.edu/grants-fina...ts/texas-resilient-forests-incentive-program/
Need to work with a TAMU forester, but they've been very helpful in the past. My local forester is on vacation, but we're going to meet early next year. Hopefully in time to get a grant approval before our dormant season burn this year, but I'm hoping to use the program to offset the cost of understory spraying next fall.
