Drilling Sugar Beets

Anyone have any experience planting sugar beets with a no-till drill? Suggestions? Recommendations?

We tried broadcasting them last year into a tilled seed bed and fought the weeds all summer. We have access to a drill and was thinking that if we do not disrupt the soil (we have already sprayed with gly and might do it again before we plant), that we might be able to control the weeds a little better.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sugar beets do not like any weed competition, and like good seed bed. I would work the ground, broadcast, and plan on spraying or sray Duel preplant.

I'd summer plant other brassicas and not have to worry about weeds at all.
