No I don’t suppose. I just think when you have a rifle season in the rut it really doesn’t matter. Bucks are on the move and visible and probably checking all the neighbors bait for does and an easy meal just like they’d check yours. I’m jaded into currently believing; you can’t outbait your neighbor, you can’t out habitat them, you can’t out strategy them by hunting smart or keeping pressure down. The only hope is enough or the right bucks simply run the gauntlet for three weeks and some survive.
I’m not going to pay for this, but I’d like to see what guys like Bronson Strickland and Craig Harper and other “experts” would say, especially off the record. I think they’d even admit it’s a luck game when you don’t control a thousand plus acres. No amount of pretty little forbs and thick escape cover and yadda yadda is going to save a buck when he’s horny for 21 days out of 365.
